On 6th March 2014 St. Peter’s Male Voice Choir and the Band of An
Garda Síochána performed a concert to a packed audience in the TLT
Concert Hall in aid of the Alzheimers Drogheda Building Fund. The
audience was delighted with the high quality of music and will be
equally thrilled to hear that the event raised €11,530 of much needed
funds for this great local cause.
Representative Ann Shortt thanked Musical Directors Edward Holly and
Pat Kenny on the night for giving their professional conducting
services free of charge. For the Finale Edward conducted the Band and
Choir combined for three pieces, 'By Faith', 'Rhythm of Life' and 'The
Long and Winding Road' while Inspector Pat Kenny conducted a
magnificent arrangement of ‘Ireland’s Call’ which really had the
audience on their feet. At the end of the concert Edward generously
donated his musical arrangements to the Garda Band.
